Only the Lower Rio Grande Valley Water Resources Conservation and Improvement Act of 2000 has been authorized at this time.

Project Implementation.--If the Secretary determines that any of the following projects meet the review criteria and project requirements (Guidelines), as set forth in section 3 , the Secretary may conduct or participate in funding engineering work, infrastructure construction, and improvements for the purpose of conserving and transporting raw water through that project:

In the Hidalgo County, Texas Irrigation District # 1 (Edinburg), a pipeline project identified in the Meldon & Hunt, Inc. engineering study dated July 6 , 2000 as the Curry Main Pipline Project.
2.
In the Cameron County, Texas La Feria Irrigation District # 3 , a distribution system improvement project identified by the 1993 engineering study by Siger , Winston , Greenwood and Associates, Inc.  (Documents)
3.
In the Cameron County, Texas Irrigation District # 2 (San Benito),canal rehabilition and pumping plant replacement as identified as Job Number 48-05540-002 in a report by Turner Collie & Braden , Inc. dated August 12 , 1998.  (Documents)

In the Cameron County, Harlingen Irrigation District # 1 , a project of meter installation and canal lining as identified in a proposal submitted to the Texas Water Development Board dated Apirl 28 ,2000.  (Documents)

  2. In the Cameron County, Texas Irrigation District No. 2 (San Benito), proposed improvements Canal "C", as identifed in February 8, 2001 engineering report by Morton , Brown , and Perez.

  3. In Cameron County ,Texas Irrigation District No. 2 (San Benito),a proposed Canal "C" & Canal 13 Inner Connect ,as identified in the February 12 , 2001 engineering report by Martin , Brown , and Perez.

  4. In Delta Lake Irrigation District of Hidalgo and Wallacy Counties ,Texas , proposed water conservation projects , as identified by the AW Blair Engineering report of February 13 ,2001

  5. In the Hidalgo and Cameron County ,Texas Irrigation District No. 9 (Mercedes), a proposed project to salvage spill water using automatic control of canal gates as identified in the AW Blair Engineering report dated February 14 , 2001.

  6. In the Brownsville Irrigation District of Cameron County , Texas ,a proposed main canal replacement as outlined in the Holdar-Garcia & Associates engineering report dated Feburary 14 , 2001.

  7. In the Hidalgo County ,Texas Irrigation District No. 16 (Mission 16), a proposed off-district pump station project as identified by the Meldon & Hunt , Incorpated engineering report dated Feburary 14 , 2001.

  8. In the Hidalgo County , Texas Irrigation District No. 1 (Edinburg), a proposed canal replacement of the North Branch East Main, as outlined in the Melden and Hunt, Incorporated engineering analysis dated Feburary , 2001.

  9. In the Donna (Texas) Irrigation District , a proposed improvement project as identified by the Melden & Hunt, Incorporated engineering analysis dated Feburary 13 , 2001.

  10. In Hudspeth County ,Texas Conservation and Reclamation District No. 1, the Alamo Arroyo Pumping Plant water quality project as identified by the engineering report and drawings by the Gebhard-Sarma and Associates dated July 1996 and the construction of a 1,000 acre- foot off- channel regulating reservoir for the capture and conservation of irrrigation water , as identified in the engineering report by AW Blair Engineering dated March, 2001.

  11. In El Paso County, Texas Water Improvement District No. 1, the Riverside Canal Improvement Project Phase 1 Reach A, a canal lining and water conservation project as identified by the engineering report and drawing by AW Blair Engineering dated November, 1999.

  12. In Maverick County, Texas Water Improvement and Control District No.1, the Concrete Lining Project of 12 miles the Maverick Main Canal, identified in the engineering report by AW Blair Engineering dated March of 2001.

  13. In Hidalgo County Irrigation District No. 6 (Mission 6) -Rehabilitation 10.2 miles of concrete lining in the main canal between lift stations No 2 and 3 as identified in the engineering report by AW Blair Engineering dated March, 2001.

  14. In Hidalgo County Irrigation District No. 2 (San Juan), Wisconsin Canal Improvements as identified in the Singler, Winston, Greenwood & Associates, Inc. engineering report dated February, 2001.
