FURROW IRRIGATION TOOL

Note: Calculator features are continuing to be added to this tool. Thank you for your patience.

This tool is designed to help the farmers to manage the water and irrigation delivered from the farm outlet by estimating the:

- Efficiency of the current irrigation
- Time of application of irrigation at each irrigation set
- Total Flow at the Farm Outlet
- Number of irrigation sets
- Width of each irrigation set
- Total hours of irrigation
- Irrigation Interval

The minimum required inputs to run the tool for the minimum outputs are:

1 - Dominant Soil Group at the farm
2 - Dominant Crop group at the farm
3 - Furrow Length

The maximum furrow flow discharges set are to provide the highest irrigation efficiency:

50 gpm for 40 inch wide furrows
75 gpm for 60 inch wide furrows

How to use the tool and the methods included are explained in the Furrow Irrigation Tool Manual.
